Liss MacCrimmon, newlywed and proud owner of the Scottish Emporium in Moosetookalook, Maine, is organizing the Halloween fundraiser. The abandoned Chadwick Mansion will be the perfect setting for a creepy haunted house. After all, the last owner was Blackie O'Hare, a notorious Boston hit man, so Liss knows those stories of buried victims and hidden loot may not be too far-fetched. And the mysterious lights, strange sounds, and very real-looking body with neck puncture marks--was it really a vampire? Or maybe the real estate agent who spreads haunted house stories or an out-of-town horror writer in the old mortuary?
